Effective MARKETING.

Sharing Our Story

Bereavement Newsletters

Sent quarterly to families who have experienced loss, these newsletters now include engagement sections to remind recipients of our non-profit status and available services. I also expanded the mailing list by collecting contact information from additional family members to ensure that more loved ones can benefit from our resources.

Community Presence

Recognizing the need to stay visible in a competitive market with 20 for-profit hospice providers, I increased our presence at community events. In just nine months, we participated in 29 events, including health fairs, church presentations, Lifelong Learning programs, United Way partnerships, and local events like ChristmasVille. These efforts have raised awareness, attracted new donors, and fostered volunteer recruitment.

Community Partnerships

I’ve leveraged relationships to build partnerships that support our mission. For example, the Fort Mill High School Beta Club collected over 4,000 pull-ups for our Caring Closet. The Roasting Company and St. Anne Catholic Church provided Thanksgiving meals for our families. The Fort Lawn Community Center has become a referral partner, connecting families to our resources and sharing donations.

Website & Social Media

I spearheaded a full revamp of the HCC website, modernizing its design and improving its storytelling. On social media, I’ve maintained a consistent posting schedule (three or more posts per week), showcasing our impact while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Increased Attendance

Our Veteran events have doubled in attendance. The Caring Closet continues to reach record levels of community impact. Our Resale Shop has seen an influx of customers and donations thanks to community events and weekly social media posts. Additionally, we’ve recruited new volunteers to support our expanding mission.
